I agree with chaotic mess completely but I want to add that the part about "pretty mama come and take me by the hand" refers to an old Doobie Brothers song called blackwater where it talks about the mississippi river and expressedly "I'd like to hear some funky Dixieland,

I'm from Alabama, and I don't know if this song is well known around the US, but well known in the south. What can I say, It's a southern thing.
