i think it's about a guy who turned into a vampire, and he's explaining it to a friend/lover.
he tells her to stay off the street at night so she doesn't get attacked by vampires.

he's telling her to get out of here because he's a vampire and he's ashamed of it, and maybe afraid he's going to bite her.

to look in the mirror with no reflection of my face
But that is not the hardest part for me,
it's just knowing i won't see the light of day "
