Showbread has always been one of the best bands when it comes to deep meaningful lyrics but they have outdone themselves beyond any imagining with every song on these albums. theyre growth both spiritually and musically is blindingly evident.
as for the meaning of this song i'd rather just go to the meaning of the entire album. for those who do not know these albums are meant to be a musical accompaniment to the stories presented in the cd booklets. each cd is a story of one of two sisters who have two very different viewpoints and goals. annorexia dreams to escape all the evils of this world and so she builds a tower. Nervosa on the other hand wants to explore everything this world has to offer and chooses to dig a hole and immerse herself in the filth of this world so that she can find happiness. they both strive their whole lives for happiness, nervosa falling deeper into her hole of filth and depravity and annorexia continuing to build up what she feels is right. but all along they both were ignoring the one true thing that should have been the basis of their entire lives. and that was the little lamb...otherwise known as Jesus.
