I think its about a lost love and broken promises. he describes how he was devoted to her because she said she loves him, she promised they wiil be together forever and that she will never leave him. she convinced him he could love her and he wont get heart. he believed her, but for some reason that didn't last. im not sure if something happend to her or if she left. maybe the last paragraph "Don't walk away

indicates that he is waiting for her to change her mind...
