Cover art for Ghosts Over Japan lyrics by From a Second Story Window

This is an amazing song but its hard to understand. Im not going in depth on this

"Sometimes we can see the skylines rise above these fields of sinking stones, Crawling away from the sun again. Feels like forever since this all began,"

I think that the skylines are a love that is slowly leaving the narrator, and its not the first time. Possibly they had been away for eachother and found there love but is losing it once again.

"And these prayers of mine are lost in this house of sand. And we float away like the ghosts over Japan.

And they float away like the wind, like the wind. And will you stay with me, or will you leave me? We can change this world forever."

He prays to keep this love but his prayers seem to just float away as if they are being ignored. He questions her/him if they are leaving. Not sure about the world changing.

"Look outside your window and see, The world as it starts crumbling down again, here we go. Stay with me, wait with me, we can see down again, here we go. Stay with me, wait with me, we can see down again, here we go. Down again and here we go."

His world is crumbling without her. He begs for her to stay. She doesnt and he is feeling the pain he felt before.

so thats as much as i understand but everyone has their own opinion just wanted to state mine
