I haven't really gotten in deep to thinking about the meaning on this one, but I have seen people interpreting the skeleton line as anorexia....I don't see it that way at all.
Beat backbones.
Grazed the poem and made it strange,
I wasn't born to be a skeleton.
^ I feel like that entire bit is made to be understood together. Beat is a noun, not a verb, he's talking about how the poetry set with the music changes his meaning and makes it ready for the public...but the people only see the words and not his real meaning or personality. The songs are just the skeleton, but people think they know him because of it, but that's not all he is or was meant to be.
I dunno, that's just how I saw it right at first...I just can't see Panic bringing up anorexia for some reason.
