it is definitely calming. although I would have to say that this song is about him trying to convince a girl not to marry someone who is wrong for her. i mean, the white gown obviously references a wedding. he says she's going nowhere (as in her relationship will lead nowhere) but they're going there fast (moving too quickly; i.e. getting married). she's slowing down; settling down with the guy, but it won't last because she doesn't really love him.
