I think this is a song that has a variety of interpretations. I can definitely see it as a man at war with himself, including being addicted to a drug. Especially with the line...

I remember hearing somewhere, they wrote this song about the struggle with IDJ. If that's true, it definitely comes across especially with the line, "Sign on the dotted line." That can be in reference to them finally breaking free and going on their own.
All in all, it's hard to tell. There are so many things this song could be about. And, it's possible it's about a mixture of concepts.
