I can admit that the first thing I thought about when I heard the opening is Lovecats; however, if anyone bothered listening on the two songs they'd notice it's much more the feel, than an actual rip-off. (the only thing remotely rip-off is the short bit equal to E|--0-3-5, which I'd be surprised if no one had used before The Cure)
Some people also need to understand that finding something that's not borrowed from some other influence is extremely hard.
