If it's not evident enough, the song's pretty much about a guy who has just gotten burnt out trying to solve all of his girlfriend's problems and being relied on so heavily. He just wants to get away from it all, "throw it away," essentially. Right now, I'm having many of the same thoughts, as my girlfriend is quite emotionally needy.
