Tobi's character in this album is, to put it lightly, a bit messed in the head. Bad things have happened to him, and he was pretty down. The love of his life barely knows his name, and he only has one real friend to speak of (played by Jorn Lande). This song is all about turning your life around and realising that there is something to live for after all.

Jorn is, essentially, as mentioned, Mephisto. So he's not trying to give Tobi hope, or telling him to stop being miserable, he's actually doing the exact opposite. Telling him that he tried being a nice guy and it didn't work out too well, so now it's surely time to 'take your share', i.e., be a bad guy. Be more like him.
