Well, the lyrics are wrong. Dan wouldn't talk about a man. Though, I think the song is about a woman who thinks she owns a man but he knows that at anytime he can leave her. But then again he loves her but doesn't want to show it. The second verse is saying that even the very people that we all know have evil inside them. Think about it. "Evil hides, in dark places, but now I find, in familiar faces." He's saying how he finds evil in familiar faces. Quite genius.
Probably one of my favorite Black Keys tunes. For a band that is so good at conveying raw energy this song in particular is especially powerful. Lyrics aren't all that meaningful.
