It's meaning is pretty much obvious. You don't want the future, which isn't what you thought it was, to come. Still, awesome song, I love the soft "twangy" guitar.

about aging. As you find yourself moving towards the end. You notice that what IS could have been so much better.. and you wish, pray, daydream for things to come, but as each day passes they become less tangible.
