I agree that this song could be about Tommy Mottola. However, to the people who think she should just 'get over' her abusive relationship, it's not that easy. You can write a million songs, several books and go to countless hours of therapy, and never be over an abusive relationship. People who've lived with someone abusive, take that experience and apply it to everyday life. Their self esteem has been so damaged, that they might never recover. You always have a guard up, and you try to deal with it as best you can. If Mariah writes another 1000 songs dedicated to her trying to deal with that she went through, I'd still listen to every one. As someone who was in an abusive relationship for 2 years, I can understand how she feels. To hear people say I, or anyone else should 'be over it by now' is sickening.
