Somebody's aging. Anyway, it's kind of like a mid-life crisis for the writer of the song, kind of like "we just stopped breathing" from souvenirs. It's like the person feels like his/her life is perfect but something's missing and they feel lost in this "alleged paradise". It's like you've lost your purpose in life and are thinking about your past purpose in life, which is no longer. Kind of nostalgic. Also, it has a feel like the person's waiting for their death but they don't know when it's gonna happen, even though they know it will happen. Very good song.
