i do agree with service to busy about religious references this song has. "So I bought the book and took a fast look/At just the very last page/It was a single word that I'd just heard/From the two that came before"; those lines are sounding for me like he is talking about Torah, Bible and Koran. Thats how i take it cos he is saying it is the same word from the two came before not written or anything. My knowledge is poor about religious matters but three books which came not written reminds me holy books of three big religions.
