I know that to a lot of you it's about driving and escape, but i think it's more deep than that. I think its about an emotional journey one must take in life.
I think its about a guy moving on and realizing that the person that's holding him back(an ex girlfriend or someone he likes whom he is waiting for to change their mind) is holding him back and the hope that he can get with the girl is what is holding him back. He realizes that he's far too strong and that he must get over her in order to live life.
