She's saying that side of your bed is still mine, even though they aren't even together.
I love this song though. It reminds me of how in denial I can be with my actions sometimes. She's saying we're over... but come... I'm not over it... and then she's saying I'm already at the finish line (saying she's done with the relationship) but then counteracting it by calling him late at night (when it's so easy to be lonely) and telling him to come over. And then beating herself up the next morning for calling him. And saying the mean things he said right back to him, but then getting desperate at night (but claiming she's not desperate).
I don't know why but it's so easy to be single during the day when you're busy and have things to do, but late at night I always want a little comfort.
She just seems in such a horrible situation. Hating him at one moment and then wanting him the next. I can totally relate to this catch-22 situation. Her words just keep going back and forth. I don't care, but I do care... It's the definition of obsessing over a situation.
