I thought instead of "The winter is here and cold," he was singing "The winter is even colder?" Could be wrong, but that's what I heard.

Anyway, this song reminds me a lot of "Storm Coming," in that both songs are from the perspective of a person with some of mythic powers stemming their musical abilities. Obviously, this is more metaphorical than realistic power, and thus both songs seem to be commenting on the power of music. Here, that power seems more of curse than blessing. It is because of that power that the singer urges the listener to kill him, likely because he feels he has abused his powers in some way, or perhaps because he is an affront to the current musical culture?

Regardless, love this song and the rest of the new album.
