I remember being baptized; I remember thinking I saw Jesus when I was a kid; I remember being on bended knee, praying, how it was all so real. I don't claim that religion anymore. To me this song is about being faithful as a child because you look up to your parents and you believe what they tell you about religion, and then life happens and it doesn't matter how real it seemed when you were a kid; it's not real now.
