I think the songs about a man who's not proud of himself and his past mistakes and he's saying everything he will do from this point forward. Howardel is an excellent writer and I feel like he has always been somewhat in the shadows of Maynard. The other part of this song that I would like to comment on the lyric "I will not lose you to the melting sky" how the key shifts. my god that is awesome. :-]
