This song is one of my all-time favourites of Stars. I love the story it depicts... even if it is a bit sad. The beginning definitely shows that he's not happy with his current situation... He does love his kid, because he 'cast a light in front of him', but maybe he just can't find a way to connect with the child... He couldn't make him see. And the situation with the wife... it does sound like they got together because of a surprise pregnancy. But in the end, she is the only one who will love him... Some feelings still remain because they've spent so much time together.
