Seems similar to December from the previous album... he's with a girl on drugs. She needs his money to feed her obsession.
The drugs are talking: "Because I can believe the words Coming up out of your face"
And he left her behind, only to find out, when he returns, that she's "still in the valley, wasting away" on drugs.
