Confirmed. Japan is a beautiful country in general, but Kyoto is definitely one of the highlights. I lived in Japan for over a year and only returned to the US because of family obligations (else I would have stayed). It broke my heart to leave, but when I listen to this song, for 4:49, I'm right back there. It's gonna have to hold me over 'till I move back in'09. Sigh...
It always reminds me of the rain. It rains at LEAST twice a week...year round (at least it did in Aichi-ken).
Kind of ironic, for the majority of my life I've been something of a loner. But it was in fact during the time I spent in Japan that I learned to love people. So I guess I personally was never LESS alone than I was when I was in Kyoto.
