For some reason this song really reminds me of the Hindu sort of reincarnation (because 'soulmates' in Hindu religion is karmic, and can be constant) so I sort of agree with the previous comment. He's saying that even after death he'll be there for her, even though he's not sure what exactly comes after death.
Also, there's two versions of this song, one before Will signed with CBS Records, and the one after it. I'm not sure which version, but one of them has a change in the bridge:
