this reminds me of when i was talking to my roommate once. She said that she's a whore. she's a whore because Jesus is supposed to me the love of our lives -- he is supposed to be the only lover we have. No one else's love compares to his. But we're in such a world that lets material goods and people that take place in our hearts. We place our love in something/someone else's hands. We have all these idols that we worship and place above our faith at times.
But Jesus still loves us no matter what and it's realizing that we have whored ourselves out to everything else to seek instant satisfaction when he greatest love and happiness that we can receive is through Christ.
Saying that "Jesus loves us no matter what we do," is very cliche. Albeit, He does, but this song is what bugoff said. It exposes our sin for what it is, SIN. Our response should be obedience. Yet I, and so many others fail, to see that.
