Just a few corrections? Lolxors at no one noticing.

Just so I can be the pound in your chest Game the fame for checkmate,

Just so I can be the pawn in your chess- Game, for fame, but checkmate.

This makes a tad more sense along with the checkmate, and I definetely here pawn/chess instead of pound/chest.

Make no mistake we not fate, wake up -> Make no mistake, we're not fake, wake up

Makes a tad more sense, and it rhymes along with the -ake phonetics. Just like Kevin loves to go along with phonetic-rhyming.

This song is obviously about living in Toronto, indeed, but in general it's about moving out, alienating from your parents, no longer talking to them, maybe even losing some 'hometown' friends.

The FlyPaper is probably a metaphor for everything and everyone trying to keep you near them, close to them, in some town where you can't grow. Or something like that.

That's why his city life is a process, he's out in the real world, growing and all. It seems he's afraid of being afraid of losing everyone. He's caught between a rock and a hard place: A rock IS hard. He feels trapped.

In the end, I think it's about trying to figure himself out. He know what he wants to say, but he doesn't know how to word it. This would also make a tad sense on the few sentences that are just implented to make the song rhyme. The may appear random, but are just a way of expressing themselves.

Mmm, in my head I know how I can 'translate' and 'relate' to the song, but writing it down seems a tad harder. Feel free to discuss anything I said. I'd love you too :).
