I think this song is about coming to a cross roads in a relationship. He is telling his girl he won't let her go without a fight but she's got to feel the same. He won't give up on her if she doesn't give up on him.. I think we've all felt this before. I just can't get enough of the last line 'so i'll wait for tomorrow.. maybe she'll smile at me this time..'
