Well, basically in this song he's trying to say that he's going away, and it's sad for his girlfriend and himself to be leaving, but he clearly states that this is not the end, that it really doesn't mean goodbye forever, when he goes. He also says that his girlfriend may as well be speechless to what he just annouced hence the "And all the words you're searching for don't have a sound". He also talks about the memories, that are now fading in his mind. He tells his girlfriend to cry if you're lonely, but if she does this, she will be caught in that moment forvever, while other people live on. And that is pretty much all i could get out of this.
i love this song, i love the hanks, they are such awesome guys. I have promoted them many times for shows when they came to washington state. I was super stoked and proud of them when they played warped tour, their music is amazing, probably one of the best underground semi indie band ive ever heard.
