Fish opened with this at his recent gig and he dedicated this to all the service men and women who are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. He stated that the song was based on a song about soldiers in the first world war.

The first part of the song reflects on a terrible irony of Scottish history. Non-British people have to realise that Scots and English are not the same, and that a frequent answer of Scots people to problems is to blame the English.
