I absolutely agree with littlelindsayy that it's about the peace that comes before death, knowing that you have lived a good life. I think that "Relation, now, means nothing," might be talking about the idea that good and evil can be relative or subjective - instead, she has chosen her way of life and thought it good ("Having chosen, so defined").
