it seems like this song has multiple meanings

one seems like he had a bad relationship where he was being great, and she was taking it all and not giving anything back so he left

but it also seems to say that you cant like its hard to explain, like take chances, and you cant live when you are not taking chances!

but i cant connect my two ideas
