Whenever I hear this song, I am immediately transported to June 4, 1984. The day the album (Born in the USA) was released, WBCN in Boston played the album in its entirety. It was a warm summer's day as I and my (teenage) friends sat by the pool and listened. Talk about being blown away! And this song really touched me. Even more so now with a feeling of nostalgia of those days now long gone.
"Well now young faces grow sad and old
And hearts of fire grow cold.
We swore blood brothers against the wind
I'm ready to grow young again.
And hear your sister's voice calling us home
Across the open yards......"
Beautiful, magical, memorable!
