Lay It Down Lyrics

Awesome guitar riff on this song. Ratt had some excellent musicians and a very good singer.

But the lyrics are surprisingly deep and interesting:

I know you don't really know me I know you don't really care to see me I'm into total affection

"Not being scared if you never please me"

This verse contradicts itself, hes into total affection but he doesnt cared about being pleased himself. This whole song is a comment on womens loopiness, that in many ways they just want sex too, deep down, but have a million games and issues. She doesnt want to reallyknow him, she wants bs. He has to act like hes into affection, but she has no affection herself, its all about her!

Also, the verse almost has a femdom type vibe to it, although i doubt that was the intention.

Under the sheets you will find me I know that nothin's for free

She will find the real him, under the sheets when hes screwing her. All this other crap he has to do is fake bullshit. Nothing is free, is all the bs he has to do, spending money, romance, to get sex.

You take what's good for your pleasin' I'll take what's good for this crazy evening

Same with this, as if his main purpose is to please her, not himself. Its a crazy evening, considering whats hes putting up with to bang her. Then theres the crap about giving her romance, so its probably about trying to screw a hot high maintenance woman, and all the bs he has to dish out to bang her.

hahah, in depth analysis of Ratt lyrics...

@meaningmasta Yeah,,,If you look at from a male perspective of a guy just sleeping with someone in hopes she will really get to know him, it adds a much deeper perspective. Maybe he views laying it down as a means to explore the things he wants to get out of relationship and understand himself. She will "find" him even though she does not want to initially
