i transcribed the lyrics to this song the best that I could, so please forgive me if a few of the lines are a little off...

i really like the raw sound to this song. the stream of consciousness technique that it appears to be written in truly adds to its appeal.

as for its meaning, i think that the song is about prejudice and the way that freedom in america tends to be one sided. Big Brother obviously refers to an unjust and oppressive authority. Humpty Dumpty could be the common man, who tries to elevate himself above Big Brother but ends up plummeting to his death for lack of cooperation. the title of the song also holds importance because of the way that 'get' is spelled; 'git' means foolish or incompetent, and i think that they are saying you are an idiot if you are proud of what this country is doing.

@laura325 you're not too far off I don't think... I've revisited this song a lot the past few years and it feels almost prophetic. It's a satirical song about a rise of the white nationalism and fascism in the US. Humpty Dumpty is just the figurehead of the movement that is bound to fall.
