I think that yeah, it isnt a wedding, it's a funeral, but the fact that he refers to it as a wedding implies ti is related to love, or two people joining togther. But, I dont think the slow down thing is talking about a car wreck, more like, if they don't slow down with their relationship, everything is going to combust at once, and it will lead to the death of both of them, if they don't take ti slow.
