I saw Social D at Canes in San Diego in 2001 at their first show back since Dennis's death. I didn't know the whole story about why they didn't play for a few years. After Ness played the song it made so much sense. He poured his entire heart out when he played the song. I was completely sold on Social D after that show. Punk rock is about telling a story that your audience can understand. Although my best friend is still alive, I can understand how much Dennis meant to Mike and I shouldn't take my best friend for granted.
