He did lots of drugs ("I'll Blow her love away"), slept around alot ("So many females to undress"), and most important to the song, he stopped believing in God ("Have at thee false Christ", "To the empty God ive been leaning on", "God, damn you") It's pretty blatant. Sorry, but i just dont see how this can be about an ex.
