I have listened to it a good 30+ times now, I still have no clue, but the closest it sounds like is the following-

To me, it sounds like the literal words of perhaps an old man, waiting for a daughter or granddaughter (Maria) who has been waiting for her/anyone to visit, and upon the literal sight of her he has had a metaphorical vision of a 'way out', which I assume to be now that this girl has visited him, he can die happy/free/whatever. It's the best I can do for now
