yeah this song was inspired by reading the book The Golden Compass. its about that amazing feeling you get from a book or a movie or even just an idea; "an idea so exciting that suddenly i'm not content with running wild and playing games with friends in streets of this old college town." freaking amazing line i can totally relate to this. So many times when ill read of some great historical figure or read a great adventure novel or about some society or struggle or movement and i just can't help feel useless sitting around on those worthless suburban nights getting wasted or worrying about stupid school shit.
i guess its also kinda about themes of the book itself, i.e. the power of children and creativity and our inner strength.
