Has anyone thought that the reference to god in this song need not be to the god worshipped in most popular religions? Think alien abductions, and even beyond that, think alien creationalist theories...
These beliefs aren't my own, but the lyrics do seem to fit, even if you want to use the term 'hypnagogic' (master exploder, I'd be interested to hear how you came to be in that state...).
These guys seem to have a knack for putting across some 'interesting' views (Angel of Death is an obvious example) - love 'em, love the song.
