Agreed, I think this song has to do with the inability to let go of a relationship and/or a person. It has to do with a failed relationship--where the woman (addiction and HER name) had the upperhand. She inevittably hurt the songwriter, but now she cant let go. She always had the choice in the situation, but perhaps she realized what she had after it was gone. Especially the second verse..
