Strawberry fields I beleive is a place that you retreat knowing it is not really real, but it is at that moment.
I would suggest that is drug-related. Weed mainly, because it would give you time to be away, knowing you will come back to reality again.
Just imagine: You are having some tough times, you smoke a "J" relax a little you go to Strawberry fields, think about stuff, dream, then you hit reality again, you know you will come back. You argue with yourself, then you smoke some more... strawberry fields forever.
I don't know it could just be that place that one goes to clear the mind, walk away from the trouble mind but then you know you will have to go back.
