This song is pretty straight forward, about a relationship that no one says will work, but he's saying to take his hand and they'll find somewhere together. They know that they'll be together forever. The verse that starts of with "the raindrops" is about how the other is the "light", and I think that the "take me home" part is about how the person can make him feel safe, loved, and bring him back to the place he feels most comfortable with.
