I just now heard of this song on another site. And I think it's repulsive and so rude. This is the "typical guy" people talk about. This song is clearly about sex, and he just wants to get into her pants now that she is of legal age. I'm not going to take these lyrics any other way. I would never date a guy who was like this... and I'd never want my daughter to date a guy like this. I just think it's rude with "daddy's little girl is ready baby"... the lyrics sound like he is pressuring this girl into having sex with him because she is 18 now.
Now.. I could be way off... but that is EXACTLY how it comes off to me. And it disgusted me, because I actually like Jesse McCartney's song "Beautiful Soul", I thought it was so sweet. But then he comes out with this?
i don't think you have the right idea with the song. first of all he doesn't say "daddy's little girl is ready baby" he says "daddy's little girl is now my baby". and second of all he's saying that she's ready to be her own person now that she is of legal age and doesn't have to live by anyone's rules. but that's just my interpretation of it.
