Superb pop-punky-indie-whatever anthem. Like the rising of a phoenix after the murky, slurred, confused stuff they (well MES...) put out during the 90s. As good as anything they did harking back to "Totally Wired".
I hear it as an autobiographical rant about getting old, getting drunk and not giving a shit about being slagged off, put down or "being nice" for the sake of some PR. The man who wrote these lyrics has never sold out. Don't think I'd ever want to meet Mark E Smith but I know I'll always watch out for the next Fall album...
