Isn't amazing when you hear a song that puts into words the feelings you could never articulate, but so badly wanted to?
I picture this song to be like a letter this girl is writing to an ex-boyfriend that she will probably never send. But in it she's spilling out alll her feelings towards him and is thanking him for everything he's given her. She knows that she's really hurt him and that he still really cares about her, but for one reason or another, she needs to move on.
"And you stood before me knowing that the wings I have you gave."
There it is. That line... Those are the words I've been searching for for so long now.
