Just For Tonight Lyrics

A classic story of a forbbiden yearning, longing love. Sort of like Romeo and Juliet. Yet it also reminds me of the Cinderella fairytale, when the prince and Cinderella fell in love at the ball and midnight was getting closer, so that just for that night they'll keep on dancing because "Time's running out the night is only a shell soon morning comes and breaks the spell to the yesterday, to a dream."

And another reference to the already mentioned tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, the forbbiden love can be seen in the lyrics: "They can't see us now, they won't catch us now." and may refer to people who are aginst that love. "Too late, won't stop, tonight I want to go deeper" may be interpreted as love making. "These streets are mine, tonight I'll keep on walking, won't stop as long as the city sleeps" as in: tonight your body is mine and I will reveal, uncover it to myself and we will belong to eachother till "the morning comes and breaks the spell" to the time when this will all look like a dream. "Don't look back once or you might turn around tonight I'll give myself to you" means that if you think about the consequences for a second, the magic of the moment will be gone, so you just have to let yourself. So just for that night we'll keep on "dancing" and the bliss felt by the unity, the lights are shining, and our secret stays hidden under the of the night.

Well, that just my perception of this absolutely beautiful song full of that scandinavian melancholy to which I can definately relate myself and my happenings. :)
