I want to write something beautiful
Something so beautiful that I just can't sing it
Without getting that incredible feeling
The one that just overwhelms my senses
Because it's the only thing I have
It's the only thing that makes my life worthwhile
This part reminds me of a line from a show. She wanted her art to mean something. To make a difference. Something that could almost physically touch your soul. She didn't want to show it to the world until she knew it could change it. And that's what all real artists really want. It's generally the reason true artists do what they do.
I know there aren't too many people
Who allow themselves to say what they feel

The beginning is pretty self-explanatory; people who do feel or have the ability to create such powerful art, particularly with words, don't. Whether it's fear or neglect. With these words, he's hoping to unleash more words. For himself, and for whoever's eyes he's watching.

That they're so beautiful it's a thrill to be near them
Fill my stomach with butterflies, have me floating on air
Bring something out of me I didn't know was there
But it's such a torturous thing
That I am not excited by anyone
I agree with what Pandora said. He's longing for anything other than numbness. He seems more focused on finding true love; someone his heart would flutter for even when he just hears their name.

I also think that eyes represent souls. Because obviously you can't watch someone's soul, but a lot of people feel that you can just look into someone's eyes and know everything you need to about them. Anyway, though, I guess I pointed out some obvious stuff, but this song is incredible, and needed another comment. :3
