Before I saw your comment LeDirge I had noticed how similar this song is to Willie of Winsbury as sung by Connie Dover on The Wishing Well. I must admit I prefer the Connie Dover version, I think the story is clearer in that one, plus the lines scan better. Thanks again for the Kate Rusby lyrics.
